Hello Soul Travellers,
Becoming a conduit of love
Welcoming the month of love into the heart, requires us to have self-love and self-care. If we can’t do that for ourselves how can we do that for others?
It has always seemed a strange coincidence that February – while it heralds in the energy of love, is also the shortest month of the year. It’s as if loving is a luxury that must be rationed. But, nothing could be further from the truth! When we experience an awakening of the heart chakra, then this energy flows into all areas of our lives. We become conduits of a never ending supply of love, so there’s no need to monitor how much of it we share.
When there’s an absence of love
However, any change has to start on an individual level. I’ve seen how healing can occur through love, even when there exists deep rooted pain. Whether anguish is caused by confusion, anger – even hatred, sadness etc, at the centre of these experiences is an absence of love. Upholding love as the driving force in our lives, casts pain and fear out of the shadows. Overcoming difficulties with an open heart and an attitude of loving kindness, liberates us to experience a life of joy, inspiration.
Of course, achieving this can be hard. Especially, when we consider all of the injustices that we as a species inflict on each other.. But, we all have a personal responsibility to bring this energy into our own lives first and then create ripples of love into every other area of our lives. When love prevails over anger, replaces fear and motivates every thought, word and action of ours, then peace too, follows in its wake.
It is more than an outward expression, it’s not simply an emotion. Love is the most powerful force there is and when we embrace this vibration with all of our heart and soul, we embody the true meaning of love. We become its greatest ambassadors.
